The content on this website describes skin conditions, treatments and the services of the practice in general terms for patients and referring physicians. It is not medical advice and it is not a substitute for assessment by a qualified health professional who knows your history and has examined you. Do not use information on this site to diagnose or treat a condition, to start, change or stop a medication, or to delay seeking care. Treatment decisions are made in consultation with your physician.
We take care to keep the content accurate and current, but medical knowledge changes and errors are possible. We do not warrant that the content is complete, accurate or up to date at any given time, and we may change it without notice.
In an emergency
If you have a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency department. Do not use this website or the clinic's telephone, fax or email for urgent medical matters. The clinic is not able to respond to emergencies.
No physician patient relationship
Using this website, reading its content, sending an email to the clinic or leaving a telephone message does not make you a patient of DermCare or of any physician here, and does not create a physician patient relationship. That relationship begins only when a referral has been accepted and you have been assessed at the clinic. Until then, the physicians of DermCare have no duty to provide care to you.
Referrals
DermCare is a referral based practice. Referrals are accepted from physicians and nurse practitioners by fax to 905 625 5650. This website does not accept referrals, appointment requests or clinical information, and nothing submitted through the site or by email will be treated as a referral. Please do not send personal health information by email. Information for referring offices is on the referring physicians page.
Intellectual property
The content of this website, including text, page layouts, graphics and the DermCare name and logo, is owned by DermCare or used under licence and is protected by Canadian and international copyright and trademark law. You may view, download and print pages for your own personal, non commercial use, or for the purpose of referring a patient, provided you keep all copyright notices intact. You may not otherwise copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, modify or create derivative works from the content without written permission. Stock images on the site are licensed for use here and may not be reused.
External links
The site links to external resources, such as the public register of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, clinical trial registries, publishers and government websites. These are provided for convenience. DermCare does not control those sites, does not endorse their content and is not responsible for their accuracy, availability or privacy practices. Linking to an external site does not imply any relationship with its operator.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the site in any way that is unlawful, that could damage or impair it, or that interferes with others' use of it, including attempting to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or the systems behind it, or using automated tools to copy its content in bulk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DermCare, its physicians and staff are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website or its content, or from your reliance on information found here.
