Treatments

DermCare provides medical dermatology treatment under one roof, from topical and light based therapy to systemic medicines, minor surgery and in house pathology reading. Assessment and treatment are covered by OHIP with a referral. The pages below explain what each treatment involves and what to expect.

Systemic and biologic therapy

Oral and injectable medicines for moderate to severe inflammatory skin disease, with baseline testing, monitoring and drug coverage support.

Skin surgery and biopsy

Skin biopsy, excision of skin cancers and suspicious lesions, and cryotherapy, performed in clinic with local anaesthetic.

Not sure where to start?

Treatment is chosen after assessment. If you have a skin, hair or nail concern, ask your family physician or nurse practitioner for a referral and we will take it from there.

Treatment starts with a referral

OHIP covered assessment and treatment at DermCare require a referral from a family physician, nurse practitioner or specialist. Referrals are accepted by fax to 905 625 5650.
